Project Management Process: Controlling

PLC_ Controlling

Project/Program Controlling is an iterative process and takes place within the boards and cycles defined in the communication structure. Basically all artifacts created during the planning phase are to be reviewed and if necessary adapted.

The process covers two main areas

  • Hard Facts (Key Performance Indicator Reports) Time, progress, costs, scope, quality
  • Soft Facts (“weak signals”) Organization, communication, risks, project environment, project culture

Project Management Process: Closure

PLC_ Closure

The Closure Phase mainly concentrates on the two steps

  1. Project Evaluation - Compile "Lessons Learned" based on project evaluation
  2. Conserve IP in Alturos Knowledge database for future use and provide post project statistics to optimize future estimations
